Why I Didn't Sack CBN Governor, Emefiele Over Alleged Political Interest - Buhari
President MUHAMMADU BUHARI has stated his reasons for not sacking the Governor of the Central Bank, GODWIN EMEFIELE, over his recent presidential ambition.
The President in an interview session with a foreign news agency said only the Governing Board of the CBN has the power to determine if the governor did wrong or not.
Recall that several persons and groups called for the sack of GODWIN EMEFIELE after he entered the race for the Presidential elections when a group procured for him the nomination form of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
