The Federal Government has approved the extension of the deadline for NIN-SIM linkage exercise to July 26.

This was announced in a statement jointly signed by the spokespersons of the Nigerian Communications Commission and the Nigeria Identity Management Commission.

The agencies disclosed that at least 57.3 million Nigerians have enrolled for the NIN, with an average of three to four SIM cards per NIN.

A total of 5,410 enrollment systems have also been made available nationwide.
