Nollywood actress Adunni Ade has announced the death of her mother, who passed away on October 18 after a prolonged illness.

The actress disclosed the death in a condolence message, expressing grief over the loss while submitting to the will of Almighty Allah.

Adunni Ade described her late mother as a cherished mother, grandmother and sister, noting that she would be remembered by her children, grandchildren, sisters and other loved ones.

In a prayer for the deceased, the actress asked Allah to forgive her shortcomings, show her mercy, grant her a spacious grave filled with light and admit her into Al-Jannah Firdaus.

She also prayed for strength and patience for the family to cope with the loss.

“Mum, I love you. May Allah grant you eternal peace and reunite us in Jannah. Ameen,” she wrote.

The actress appealed to the public to remember her late mother and the family in their prayers.

She added that details of the funeral arrangements would be communicated in due course.
