The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has described the Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District, Senator Gbenga Daniel, as the embodiment of the original Omoluabi.
Pastor Adeboye made this known during the thanksgiving service marking the 70th birthday celebration of Otunba Gbenga Daniel, held at the Abraham Tabernacle Church in Sagamu.
While celebrating the former governor, Pastor Adeboye noted that Senator Daniel is a rare politician known for keeping and fulfilling his promises. He emphasized that such integrity reflects the true essence of an Omoluabi.
In his words, “Otunba Gbenga Daniel has been exceptional in his relationship with the Church, keeping every promise he has made and fulfilling them. He is a true Omoluabi; people like him are rare. I respect him highly, and the Redeemed Christian Church of God holds him in high esteem.”
Speaking further during his sermon on wisdom for humanity, Pastor Adeboye also revealed his Anglican background, noting that he was born into the Anglican faith and takes pride in it.
Also speaking at the event, Governor Dapo Abiodun, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, expressed joy in celebrating with Senator Daniel on his 70th birthday.
“Reaching the age of 70 is a significant milestone and an opportunity to celebrate a lifetime of contributions to Ogun State. You have demonstrated exemplary leadership in both the public and private sectors. Happy birthday to you,” the Governor said.
In the same vein, the Primate of the Church of the Lord (Aladura) Worldwide, Rev. Rufus Okikiola Ositelu, congratulated Senator Daniel and offered prayers for Nigeria’s President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, asking God to grant him wisdom to continue steering the country, especially in the area of economic reforms.
In his remarks, the celebrant, Senator Gbenga Daniel, expressed appreciation to all guests who came to celebrate with him on the occasion of his 70th birthday.
