The Edo State Government has approved the redeployment of the Commissioner for Works, Hon. (Dr.) Felix Ehiguese Akhabue, to the Ministry of Water Resources, in a move aimed at strengthening service delivery across critical sectors of the state.

The approval was granted by Governor Monday Okpebholo, according to a special government announcement issued by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Musa Ikhilor.

Following the development, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Works has been directed to oversee the affairs of the ministry pending the appointment of a substantive commissioner.

The statement noted that the redeployment takes immediate effect.

While no reason was officially stated for the reshuffle, the move is seen as part of ongoing efforts by the Okpebholo administration to reposition key ministries for improved efficiency and service delivery.
