The Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone 13, Ukpo, Anambra State, Abayomi Oladipo, has decorated two newly promoted officers, urging them to uphold professionalism, integrity, and discipline in the discharge of their duties.

The decoration ceremony, held at the Zone 13 Headquarters in Ukpo, Dunukofia Local Government Area, saw the officers elevated to the rank of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), marking a significant milestone in their careers.

Zone 13 Command, which oversees policing operations in Anambra State and Enugu State, witnessed a gathering of senior officers, family members, and well-wishers who turned out to celebrate the newly decorated officers.

Addressing the officers, AIG Oladipo described the promotion as merit-based and well-deserved, emphasizing that the new rank comes with greater responsibility and heightened expectations.

“Promotion is a call to higher service and dedication. You must remain committed to professionalism, discipline, and quality service to the people and the country at large,” he stated.

He further stressed the importance of integrity and public trust, urging the officers to sustain the core values of the Nigeria Police Force while contributing to improved security and responsive policing.

The newly promoted officers, Nzota Chidiebere and Blessing Akuchi, expressed gratitude to the Inspector-General of Police, the Police Service Commission, and the leadership of the Force for the recognition.

Speaking on behalf of the officers, Chidiebere described the promotion as a moment of immense joy and responsibility.

“The reward for hard work is more work. We are deeply grateful for this honour and remain committed to serving with dedication and excellence,” he said.

The event also had in attendance Commissioners of Police from Anambra and Enugu states, alongside members of the Zone 13 management team.

The promotion exercise reflects ongoing reforms within the Nigeria Police Force, aimed at strengthening personnel capacity, boosting morale, and enhancing service delivery across the country.
