Senate President, GODSWILL AKPABIO has announced that the newly approved minimum wage applies to all workers across both public and private sectors, including maids and other domestic staff.

AKPABIO made this known during plenary in Abuja.

According to him, the 70,000 naira   wage is the minimum amount any worker can earn and it applies to all workers, not just those in government jobs.

He therefore urged all employers to prepare for the implementation of the new wage until President TINUBU signs the bill into law.
