Edo Private School Proprietors Seeks Legal Intervention over State Govt. New Regulations

The legal tussle between the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) and the Edo State Government at the state High Court in Benin has been adjourned till the 4th of May.

The NAPPS President, Lemmy Russell told Super FM shortly after the adjournment of the case that the association is challenging the proposals put forward by the state government.

Russell said the proposals of the government have dire consequences for the operation and survival of private schools.

The Association's Chairman in Ovia North East, Robert Ahasuan described the decisions of the government as unconstitutional.

The suit was adjourned following the unavailability of the judge to hear the case.
