Ogun state governor DAPO ABIODUN has described teachers as career molders, mentors and national builders who sacrifice their all to produce diverse professionals for the nation.

Governor ABIODUN disclosed this at the celebration of the 2022 World Teachers’ day in Abeokuta, the state capital.

Governor ABIODUN said that education remain the bedrock of socio-political and economic development, and noted that no nation can become great without the positive contributions of her teachers.

The governor said that Ogun State could only achieve the status of the Education capital of Nigeriawith the contributions of the teachers, whom he described as the best in the country.

On efforts of his administration in the education system, Governor ABIODUN disclosed that plans are underway to supply 25,000 pieces of furniture to all public primary and secondary schools, and to renovate over 956 classrooms in primary and secondary schools.
