The leadership of the House of Representatives will on Tuesday meet President MUHAMMADU BUHARI to provide their own recommendations to resolving the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities.

Sources say that the lawmakers are scheduled to meet with the President, and offer resolutions they have reached from the various stakeholders meeting that have took place in the past couple of weeks.

The move by the House of Representatives now means that all 3 arms of the federal government have in one way or the other intervened in the lingering ASUU strike which has now entered day 232 today.

Meanwhile, during his Independence Day speech over the weekend, President MUHAMMADU BUHARI once again appealed to ASUU to call off their over seven-month strike and return to the classrooms.
