And the Independent National Electoral Commission has expressed confidence in the Bimodal Voters Accreditation system that will be deployed in the 2023 general elections.

INEC national commissioner on Information and Voter Education, FESTUS OKOYE, made the statement in an interview on a monitored television program.

FESTUS OKOYE also noted that efforts are ongoing to clean up the INEC registers, in line with claims that clean-up was necessary because the register has some deficiencies.

The INEC national commissioner also enjoined Nigerians to build trust in the system and support it by pointing out errors in the voter registrants’ lists.
