Ogun state, where violence have broken out in Agosasa, a town in Ipokia Local Government Area, which occurred over the selection process of a new king.

The Public Relations Officer of the Ogun State Police Command, ABIMBOLA OYEYEMI, confirmed the incident.

Residents say that at least 3 people were killed, with some youths also burning down the cars and houses of some of prominent politicians in the community.

The incident comes as a result of a lingering battle over who should be the new monarch following the death of the last king about six months ago.
