The Federal Government has reiterated petrol subsidy will remain in place until mid-2023.

According to the Minister of Finance, budget and national planning ZAINAB AHMED, the government is proposing to spend only 3.36 trillion naira for petrol subsidy in 2023.

She said this in a meeting with the House of Representatives Committee on Finance in Abuja on the details of the 2023-2025 Medium-Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper.

The minister added that the Federal Government is proposing an aggregate expenditure of 19.76 trillion naira for the 2023 financial year, with a projected deficit of 11.30 trillion naira.
