Nigeria Bar Association Holds Annual General Conference In Lagos State

As the 2023 elections draw close, presidential candidates of major parties are taking opportunities to discuss issues, and proffer solutions to the myriad of challenges facing the nation.

One such platform is the ongoing Nigerian Bar Association Annual General Conference holding in Lagos, with the theme ‘Bold Transitions’.

At the opening ceremony yesterday, the Presidential candidates of the People’s Democratic Party ATIKU ABUBAKAR, and the Labour Party PETER OBI, and the Vice-Presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress KASHIM SHETTIM, were panelists at the conference, and expressed their standpoints on major issues.

The moderator of the event, award-winning novelist CHIMAMANDA ADICHIE, said that the country lacks heroes who can inspire the younger generation, noting that the youth do not have anybody to look up to anymore.

ADICHIE added that the breakdown of the rule of law is the major cause of the ravaging insecurity in Nigeria.
