NIGERIAN MILITARY ARRESTS SUSPECTS LINKED WITH JUNE 5 TERROR ATTACK ON ST. FRANCIS CATHOLIC CHUCRH, OWO, ONDO STATE


65 days after the terror attack on St. Francis Catholic Church, the Nigerian military has announced the arrest of some suspects linked with the incident.


The Chief of Defence Staff, General LUCKY IRABOR disclosed this during a parley with news editors and media executives at the Defence Headquarters.


General IRABOR said the arrest was conducted via joint operations with other security and intelligence agencies, adding that the suspects will be paraded after the end of investigation.


General IRABOR also listed the names of the arrested suspects to include 37-year-old IDRIS OJO, who was one of the high profile terrorists of the Islamic State in West Africa Province that escaped from the Kuje Prison.


Others are JIMOH IBRAHIM, IDRIS ABDULMALIK OMEIZA, MOMOH ABUBAKAR, ALIYU ITOPA and AUWAL ONIMISI.


Ondo state governor ROTIMI AKEREDOLU also confirmed the arrest of 5 suspects linked to the Owo terror attack, adding that the person who accommodated the suspects the night before the attack was also arrested.
