The Minister of Interior, RAUF AREGBESOLA, has directed the Nigerian Correctional Service to increase its efforts in intelligence gathering.

The Minister during a visit to the Kirikiri prisons in Apapa, Lagos state, said that any intelligence gathered must be acted upon.

RAUF AREGBESOLA described intelligence as the solution to solving the problem of constant attacks on Custodial Centres across the country.

The Minister added that no jailbreak attempts by inmates have been successful, but however, lamented the high rate of external attacks on prison facilities.
