The 2022 Democracy Day celebration and parade is currently going on at the Eagle Square in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

The Democracy day parade is in honor of the return to civil rule and to remember Nigeria’s heroes of democracy.

As at the time of reporting, different units of the Nigerian Armed Forces and the Nigeria Police Force had performed their parade, with some others still to perform. Also, some cultural groups had performed different cultural dances.

In attendance are President MUHAMMADU BUHARI, former President GOODLUCK JONATHAN, the Chief Justice of the Federation Justice TANKO MUHAMMAD, the President of the Senate AHMAD LAWAN, the Speaker of the House of Representatives FEMI GBAJABIAMILA, other key government officials, officers of different security agencies, students and teachers of different schools, among others.
