The Speaker of the house of representatives, FEMI GBAJABIAMILA has advised political office holders to resign before seeking elective positions to avoid risking annulment of their elections.

GBAJABIAMILA made the statement in an interview with newsmen in London while stating that the law will take its cause on section 84(12) of the electoral act amendment bill.

While some appointees have followed the provision, he said others remain obstinate for want of a better word and hide under the cover that there is a court decision that has nullified that provision.

GBAJABIAMILA also noted that the country is facing huge security challenges, but President MUHAMMADU BUHARI’S administration has tried to gag Nigeria’s security challenges.
