The Federal Government has assured families of those held hostage in the Kaduna-bound train that efforts are on to ensure the safe rescue of those kidnapped by the terrorists. 

The Minister of Transportation, ROTIMI AMAECHI, who was represented by the Minister of State for Transportation, GBEMISOLA SARAKI, gave this assurance at the 2022 Ministerial press briefing in Abuja.

ROTIMI AMAECHI further stated that his ministry had been in constant communication with the security agencies over the rescue of the victims.

The minister however, noted that details of the engagement with the security agencies could not be disclosed for security reasons.
