Federal Government Ensures Nigerians From Ukraine Are Granted Visa-Free Access To Romania And Hungary

The Federal Government has said that Hungary and Romania have approved visa-free access to all Nigerians coming from Ukraine.

The Ministry of Foreign affairs disclosed this in a statement, while advising Nigerians fleeing Ukraine to move to the Hungarian or Romanian borders for easy access.

Permanent Secretary ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador GABRIEL ADUDA, said for now movement to the Hungarian Zahony border and Romanian Suceava, Tulcea, Satu Mare County & Maramures borders is advised, as they have approved visa-free access to all Nigerians coming from Ukraine and arrangements for accommodation and feeding before evacuation is arranged.

ADUDA also noted that the government is fully aware of all the challenges being faced by Nigerians in Ukraine and is doing all it can to ease their pain.

It’s been four days since the Russian invasion that has sent shockwaves around the world and fighting keeps raging in Ukraine.

Ukraine said it would hold talks with Russia “without preconditions” at its Belarus border after Moscow had earlier demanded Kyiv’s military lay down their arms before negotiations could begin.

However, the country’s forces have put up fierce resistance and claim to have inflicted heavy damages on the Russian military.
