The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, GODWIN EMEFIELE has appealed to manufacturers to reduce the price of building materials in the country for equitable distribution of wealth and development.

The CBN governor urged cement manufacturers to pay more attention to satisfying domestic demand.

GODWIN EMEFIELE made the disclosure in his remarks at the commissioning of a cement factory in Sokoto state.

He assured the manufacturers of the apex bank’s determination to always provide the needed support to improve their capacity. 

EMEFIELE said that the CBN had not provided foreign exchange to anyone for the importation of cement in the last seven years.

The CBN governor who promised support for prospective investors in the Cement industry said the CBN is making effort at becoming the financial catalyst for Job creation in the country.
