Ogun State Government Upgrades Ambulance Services To Provide 24-Hour Response To Road Emergencies


The Ogun State Government says it has upgraded ambulance services to make it a 24-hour response to road emergencies which may occur in any part of the State.

 

Commissioner for Health, Dr. TOMI COKER in a statement issued in Abeokuta, stated that the government would prioritize health of the people through its social welfare and wellbeing programme.

 

Dr. TOMI COKER revealed that the government had made available ambulance services in 16 locations across the three Senatorial Districts of the State.

 

She added that the State Hospitals in Abeokuta and Ota, as well as the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospitals, Sagamu had been activated as ambulance bases for critical emergencies.

 

The Commissioner also said her Ministry had improved Community Ambulance Services to ensure prompt movement of injured or seriously sick members of the public to the nearest health facility or referred patients from one hospital to another.
