Ogun State Government Rolls Out Measures To Combat Students’ Misconduct


The Ogun State government has rolled out some measures aimed at combating unruly behaviours and other acts of indiscipline among students in public secondary schools in the state.

 

The State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Professor ABAYOMI ARIGBAGBU, said government would not allow a reoccurrence of the incidences that happened in some of its schools last term. 

 

According to the commissioner, part of the measures put in place to check indiscipline among the students is the reintroduction of extra-curricular activities, Post Examination Entertainment Programme in schools, equally Inter House Sports Competition, introduction of parents clubs in schools, introduction of staggered closing time, and discouraging visits to schools by parents

 

Professor ABAYOMI ARIGBAGBU added that there would also be reward system for students in the state at the school, zonal and state levels to serve as source of encouragement to deserving students.
