The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice TANKO MUHAMMAD has sworn in 72 legal practitioners to the rank of Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN).

The ceremony took place at the main courtroom of the Supreme Court to mark the commencement of the 2021/2022 legal year in Abuja. 

The CJN while administering the oath of office admonished the legal practitioners to forge ahead with the right mindset and disposition to attain more impactful results.

Out of the 159 senior lawyers that applied for the rank during the year, 72 made it to the list, of which 10 were academic appointees and 62 advocate appointees.
