Lagos state Governor, BABAJIDE SANWO-OLU, has ordered a probe of the collapsed building which happened in the Ikoyi Area of the state.

According to a statement signed by the state commissioner of Information, GBENGA OMOTOSO, the Lagos state governor has ordered an investigation, while calling for calm on the part of residents.

GBENGA OMOTOSO, added that the state Deputy Governor OBAFEMI HAMZAT in company with other officials of the state have visited the site of the collapse, and has directed security agents to block off the site to facilitate rescue efforts.

The statement noted that the details of the investigation into the building will be made public in due course.
