Governor DAPO ABIODUN has disclosed plans by his administration to facilitate the establishment of the Nigeria Air force base and a training school in the State, to complement its first Agro-Cargo Airport project.

Governor DAPO ABIODUN made this known at his office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, when he received the Flag Officer Commanding, Western Naval Command, Rear Admiral JASON GBASSA.

The Governor who noted that the State government would continue to support all security agencies called for collaboration with Nigeria Navy in combating the high rate of insecurity in riverine areas of the state.

In his remarks, Rear Admiral JASON GBASSA, said the State would benefit more from its taskforce with the deployment of more naval officers, to curb criminal activities in the riverine areas.

He added that the Command is currently working towards scaling up its presence at the Tongeji oil rich area.
