Ugandan President YOWERI MUSEVENI has announced a further easing of coronavirus restrictions in the country even as the infection rate continues to rise.
The president said international borders will be reopened for tourists, while returning Ugandan citizens who have tested negative for Covid-19 will be allowed to self-isolate at home.
Places of worship have been allowed to reopen but the number of congregants will be limited to 70, with Final-year students in primary, secondary and tertiary institutions to resume learning in October.
