Minister of Youth and Sports Development, SUNDAY DARE, has stated that 60 Nigerian sporting icons will be celebrated for 60 days as part of the country’s 60th Independence celebrations.

DARE who stated this at a media parley for the National Principals’ Cup in Lagos said the ministry is going to have a roll-up banner of all the selected 60 sports icons who made this country proud, at the velodrome in Abuja.

The Minister added that this is meant to inspire young ones and to show that this country recognizes the labour of these icons.
