Governors of the 17 southern states are meeting today in Asaba, the Delta state capital.
Reports say that the persistent attacks on police stations and the killings of policemen in the south-east and south-south, would be top on the agenda for the meeting.
The governors will also discuss secession clamours and the spate of kidnappings in the Southern part of the country.
The governors had last week met virtually at the request of Ondo State Governor, ROTIMI AKEREDOLU, Delta State Governor, IFEANYI OKOWA and Ebonyi State Governor, DAVID UMAHI, who are Chairmen of the governors’ forum in their respective geo-political zones.
