Members of the South East Governors’ Forum have condemned the activities of secessionist groups in the region and other parts of the country.

The governors stated this when they met on Saturday in Enugu State as part of efforts to tackle the security challenges and restore peace in the region.

They distanced themselves from the agitations of such groups and frowned on the violence that followed which led to the loss of lives and destruction of properties.

The Chairman of the Forum and Ebonyi State Governor, DAVID UMAHI who spoke at the end of the meeting added that the secessionist groups do not speak for South East.
