The House of Representatives has resolved to investigate the alleged racketeering of deployment and posting of officials in the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The decision followed a motion of matters of urgent public importance moved by the House Minority Leader, NDUDI ELUMELU.
The Minority leader stated that some Diplomats posted abroad have refused to heed recall orders back to the country, and said they still collect allowances as though they are still on overseas posting.
Adopting the motion, the House mandated its Committee on Foreign Affairs to investigate the allegations and report back within four weeks.
