President MUHAMMADU BUHARI has hosted in audience the newly appointed Director-General of the World Trade Organization (WTO) Dr. NGOZI OKONJO-IWEALA, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
President BUHARI said OKONJO-IWEALA earned the position due to her record of performance both home and abroad, adding that the country’s support for her also pushed her over the line.
The new WTO DG, while speaking with State House correspondents, after the meeting said the trade organization can do more to help Nigeria, but said the country must add value to its products in order to trade more.
