Oil workers under the aegis of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria PENGASSAN have been ordered by the association to embark on a nationwide strike.

The order was issued in a letter, signed by the General Secretary, of PENGASSAN, LUMUMBA OKUGBAWA.

He said the strike was to kick against the failure of government to make concrete moves on matters bordering on the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System.

PENGASSAN President, FESTUS OSIFO, while speaking on a monitored programme, accused the Federal Government of negligence in the manner it is handling the concerns raised by the union.
