Members of the Peoples Democratic Party Caucus in the House of Representatives have asked President MUHAMMADU BUHARI to immediately rescind the decision to relax the lockdown in Lagos, Ogun and Federal Capital Territory.

In a statement signed by the leader of the Caucus, KINGSLEY CHINDA in Abuja, the caucus said human life is sacrosanct and therefore vital to any responsible individual, organization or government to preserve it.

The caucus said that opening the economy without adequate precautionary measures beyond hand washing and face masking is unsafe, saying it will trigger the spread of the virus.

The caucus says it is demanding that President BUHARI rescinds his decision to relax the lockdown order and allow the lockdown to remain operational for another 14 days from today until 18th May, 2020.

They urged the president to come up with clear public policies to be adopted for containment of the spread of the virus within the extended period.
