Government officials in France say they would ban lone daytime jogging as people continue to flout anti-corona virus lockdown rules.

Announcing the new measures for Paris in a statement, MAYOR ANNE HIDALGO and the city’s police Chief, DIDIER LALLEMENT says that every excursion avoided, aids the fight against the pandemic in the country.

The new measure also mandates that those who do not have surgical masks must wear a homemade alternative or tie a scarf or bandanna around their face; otherwise they could be fined 41 dollars.

The move is coming just after Health Minister; OLIVIER VERAN announced a record daily corona virus death toll of 833 people in 24 hours.
