The Ogun State government has initiated plans to renovate, as well as build new sporting facilities in the Moshood Abiola International Stadium, Abeokuta and Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode.

The State Commissioner for Youth and Sport, OLUWADARE KEHINDE, on an assessment of the two facilities expressed optimism that the reconstruction would boost sports in the State and attract international sporting events.

The renovation, he said would involve reconstruction of training pitches for footballers, Olympic Standard Swimming pools, Multi-purpose halls for indoor events, and coverage of the main bowl of the two Stadia.
