The Governor of Ogun State DAPO ABIODUN has handed over patrol vehicles to the Joint Security Intervention Squad (JSIS) to secure lives and property in Yewa axis of the state against further attacks by suspected killer herdsmen.

Governor ABIODUN charged operatives of the JSIS to make optimal use of the equipment for the protection of the people of the state, adding that personnel of Operation Amotekun will soon be deployed to reinforce them.

The patrol vehicles comprise of 10 operational vans and 20 motorcycles and are equipped with communication gadgets to enhance operations.

JSIS was constituted two weeks ago by the state government in response to the recent farmers - herders’ clashes, and its members are drawn from the Nigeria Army, the Police, DSS, and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps.
