The Ogun State Government has revealed plans to renovate all abandoned housing estates across the State, for onward allocation to the people.
The State Commissioner for Housing, AKANDE OMONIYI made this known while fielding questions from newsmen in his office, at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.
OMONIYI stated that the estates, located at Ayetoro, Ikenne, Ago- Iwoye, Ijebu-Igbo and Ota, have been built for long, adding that the estates would be given a face lift, to allow residents access decent housing.
The Commissioner added that government would not relent in providing affordable housing for the people, saying all is set on the implementation of the 10,000 Federal Government Social Housing Scheme, among other housing policies of the government.
