The federal government has presented a letter of credence to the former Chief of Defence Staff, General ABAYOMI OLONISAKIN as ambassador-designate of Nigeria to Cameroon.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs GEOFFREY ONYEAMA handed over the letter to the former defence chief in Abuja.
The former Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant-General TUKUR BURATAI was also appointed as Nigeria’s ambassador-designate to the Benin Republic.
Their appointments come four months after President MUHAMMADU BUHARI nominated the ex-service chiefs as non-career ambassadors.
