The Ogun State government says it is putting measures in place to ensure prospective applicants for building processes get their approvals within seven days.

The Ogun state Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, OLATUNJI ODUNLAMI disclosed this while speaking with newsmen in Abeokuta.

He noted that many residents believe that the process of obtaining planning permit was difficult, which necessitated the need for them to erect their buildings haphazardly, which violates the State Urban and Regional Planning law.

ODUNLAMI stated that the process of obtaining building approval has been made easy, adding that any person with the intention of erecting structures within the State could secure their building approved plan within 7 days, once all required documents have been submitted for processing.

He maintained further that, obtaining planning permit before commencement of construction was essential, as the present administration was determined to make the State well organised and habitable.
