The Ogun State government has said it will continue to ensure that no indigene, whose land was acquired for developmental purposes, was short-changed, as the government would ensure that such people are adequately and properly compensated.
The Director-General, Bureau of Lands and Survey, AINA SALAMI, gave this assurance in Abeokuta, while presenting cheques of 6.5 million naira to owners of some hectares of land in Odofin-Oke village in Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area acquired for a company.
AINA SALAMI, represented by the Senior Special Assistant, Dr. AFEEZ ALABI indicated that the payment of the compensation was one of critical aspects of land administration.
Dr. AFEEZ ALABI emphasized that the Governor DAPO ABIODUN led-government would not leave any stone unturned to ensure that due compensation was paid promptly.
He expressed optimism that the payment would enhance development and improve standard of living of the citizens.
