The Nigerian Union of Allied Health Professionals has demanded life insurance scheme and immediate payment of 100, 000 naira special COVID-19 allowances to all health workers at the frontline of the war against the disease in Nigeria.

This demand was made known in a press statement jointly signed by the President of the union, OBINNA OGBONNA and the General Secretary of the union, MARTIN EGBANUBI.

 The Union said the Federal Government should commence a life insurance scheme for all health workers to further encourage them to remain devoted to save the rest of the populace from the pandemic.
