State governors from the North-East have met with President MUHAMMADU BUHARI on the worsening security situation in the country and have appealed to him to address the causes without further delay.

The Borno State Governor and Chairman North-East Governors’ Forum, Professor BABAGANA ZULUM, disclosed this to State House correspondents at the end of the meeting they had with President BUHARI at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The Governors also lamented the rate at which more members are being recruited into the Boko Haram sect.

Earlier, at the meeting, President BUHARI gave strong assurances that security would be restored to Borno State, the North East, and the nation at large.
