NMA WARNS FG AGAINST TREATING COVID-19 PATIENTS AT HOME

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) has cautioned the Federal Government against treating COVID-19 patients at home.

The NMA says the implementation of home treatment in Nigeria, where majority of the infected people lived in crowded houses would create problems for the country.

The Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, at its press briefing had earlier mentioned that the Federal Government was considering treating some COVID-19 patients at home.

President of the Nigerian Medical Association, FRANCIS FADUYILE has insisted that all laboratory confirmed cases should be isolated and cared for in a health care facility according to the World Health Organization’s guidelines.

He also insisted that all healthcare workers must be properly equipped with Personal Protective Equipments at all times.
