The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has summoned what it described as an emergency National Executive Council (NEC) meeting following the invitation of its National President, JOE AJAERO.
The NEC meeting is holding with all heads of affiliates and state chapters of NLC expected to be in attendance.
The notice of the meeting was signed by the NLC’s Secretary General, EMMANUEL UGBOAJA.
The Nigerian Police Force (NPF) had summoned the president of the NLC for investigation over allegations of terrorism financing, treasonable felony, cybercrime and other related offences.
Signed by Assistant Commissioner of Police, ADAMU MUAZU on behalf of the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Intelligence Response Team, the invitation letter warned that a warrant of arrest would be issued if AJAERO fails to comply.
The Police warned that if the NLC leader fail to honour the invitation, the Police will have no choice but to issue a warrant for his arrest.
