Lobi Stars have booked their spot in the quarter final of the ongoing DAPO ABIODUN Preseason competition with a 2-1 win over Godosky FC.

A 13th minute goal from AUSTIN OGUNYE and an own goal from DANIEL NWAKAMMA in the 45th minute gave Lobi Stars a commanding lead at half time, before CHIGOZIE AWORUE scored for Godosky in the 56th minute.

In other results, Kwara United defeated Nilayo FC 3-nil with a brace from MICHAEL OHANU and a goal from SHOLA ABDULKAREEM, while MFM FC played out a goalless draw with Crown FC.

Kwara United Head Coach ABDULLAHI BIFFO who spoke with Super FM NEWS after the match said he was pleased with his team’s performance after playing a tough and physical game.

Also, Nilayo FC head coach SUNDAY OLUSOJI said his team came up against a more experienced side, with a lot of work to do on the team.
