The Lagos State Materials Testing Laboratory Agency has commenced the delineation process of serving notices, as part of measures to check building collapse in the state.

While speaking during an interactive forum with non-technical consultants, the General Manager of Agency, OLAYINKA ABDUL, called for collective efforts on concise and valid reports from tests being conducted across the various project sites.

ABDUL emphasised that there would be a new form of operation involving unique codes peculiar to each consultant to curb anomalies of fraudulent practices.

She said the initiative would also serve as a measure to coordinate and foster a streamlined process through synergy between the agency’s enforcement team and its consultants.

The General Manager added that necessary steps would be adopted in the form of sanctions on the project supervisor or anyone who contravene the stipulated rules and regulations of the agency.
