The kidnapped traditional ruler of Imope Town in Ijebu North Local Government, Oba TAJUDEEN OMOTAYO, has regained freedom from his abductors.
Oba OMOTAYO was reportedly released last night after a sum of 5.5 million naira was allegedly paid by the family to secure his freedom.
The gunmen had abducted the monarch on Saturday while coming back from a trip to Ijebu-Ode in his vehicle.
The Police Public Relations Officer, ABIMBOLA OYEYEMI confirmed the development but denied knowledge of the payment of ransom.
