Kenya’s president, UHURU KENYATTA has apologized for the violence meted out by police following the declaration of a nationwide curfew last week to curb the spread of coronavirus.
Police in Kenya have used heavy-handed tactics to enforce the dusk to dawn curfew, with tear gas, baton charges and the alleged firing of live rounds.
President KENYATTA apologized for some excesses that were carried out by the police and assured that his government is preparing for the worst and hoping that they do not need to take further measures in the fight against coronavirus.
