Ivory Coast has announced the resumption of international flights from July 1 after almost three months of being grounded due to the corona virus pandemic.
Health Minister EUGENE AKA AOULE disclosed this at a press briefing following a national Security Council meeting.
Domestic flights will also resume today, while land and sea borders will remain closed until at least July 15.
EUGENE also said the state of emergency in the Greater Abidjan area will continue for the time being.
This comes after Zambia also announced that it would immediately reopen all three of its international airports to help revitalize the tourism sector hit hard by the pandemic, with Liberia also due to reopen its Monrovia International Airport on Sunday.
